As I was inviting at Lake Studios in Berlin to perform my new dance piece with my dance company Ilondzo during Submerge Festival 2025, I was glad to also Cco-host a conference about Black Dance Culture alongside Berlin based creative Iman Gele.

Concrete Roses – A lecture about Hip Hop dances and freestyle rooted in Black culture.

Through workshops and talks, iLondzo Company seek to offer a dynamic 360-degree experience of their piece. This lecture will not only deepen audience engagement but also foster meaningful dialogue surrounding the themes explored in “Concrete Roses” and how Hip Hop freestyle is deeply rooted in Black dances and culture.By doing so, the choreographer aims to enhance the resonance and impact of her work, leaving a lasting impression long after the final curtain falls.
